Frequently Asked Questions (Telluride Lift Tickets)

How far in advance should I purchase Telluride lift tickets?

Telluride lift tickets must be purchased a minimum of 4 days in advance of use.

What Telluride lift ticket season should I choose?

Telluride lift ticket prices are determined by your first day of skiing. Please select the season that matches your first ski day. Once issued, your lift ticket is valid for the number of days purchased within a 9-day window - even if your skiing dates cross into a different season.

Where do I pick up my lift tickets?

Your lift tickets will be held under each skier's name and birthdate at Telluride Resort Will-Call. Pick them up at any ticket window in Mountain Village or Telluride—whichever is most convenient. Bring a valid photo ID and your confirmation number. Full locations and hours are included in your confirmation email.

Are Telluride lift tickets refundable?

Telluride multi-day lift ticket purchases are 100% refundable when cancelled 24 hours or more prior to your product start date. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the start date are non-refundable, and no credits or partial refunds will be issued once this window has passed. Please note that Epic products follow Epic/Vail policies and are always non-refundable.

Is there a lift ticket tax in Telluride?

Yes. As of November 15, 2025, the Town of Mountain Village implemented a 5% lift ticket tax on single-day and multi-day Telluride lift tickets. Revenue from this tax funds gondola operations and capital improvements through the San Miguel Authority for Regional Transportation (SMART).

Resort Conditions & Closure Disclaimer

Purchase of a lift ticket does not guarantee availability of any specific lift, slope, or resort facility. Opening, closure, or availability of lifts, terrain, and facilities is subject to weather, snow conditions, maintenance, and resort operations. Ski Trip Advisors is not responsible for resort closures or conditions beyond our control.

Is Telluride included on the Epic Pass?

Can you help me choose the best option?

Absolutely. Call us anytime -  we handle Telluride vacations daily and can save you money.

Telluride Ski Vacation

Telluride is one of the most charming and historic ski towns in North America- so authentically Old West that it’s home to the first bank ever robbed by Butch Cassidy. Nestled in a dramatic box canyon, the town is compact but full of character, offering everything you need within walking distance: boutique shops, award-winning restaurants, lively bars, and a welcoming local vibe.

One of Telluride’s most unique features is how seamlessly the mountain connects to the town. You can ski right to the main street, take off your skis, enjoy lunch, and hop back on a lift or the gondola- no shuttles or street crossings required.

Just above Telluride sits Mountain Village, a newer, upscale, ski-in/ski-out community filled with luxury hotels, private homes, and high-end condos. Its atmosphere is similar to Beaver Creek, with heated walkways, a central plaza, and a family-friendly ice rink. Nearly all lodging in Mountain Village offers true slopeside convenience.

The two towns are connected by one of the most unique transportation systems in skiing: a free public gondola, operating well into the evening and accessible to skiers, visitors, workers—and even dogs. It keeps the entire Telluride experience wonderfully car-free and adds to the resort’s charm.

When you book with Ski Trip Advisors, you gain access to exclusive savings on lift tickets, ski & snowboard school, equipment rentals, shuttles, and complete vacation packages—all curated to deliver exceptional value throughout the season.

Telluride Skiing

Consistently rated the #1 ski resort in North America by Condé Nast readers, Telluride Ski Resort is internationally recognized as one of the premier ski and snowboard destinations in the world.

The mountain receives over 300 inches of snowfall annually and offers more than 2,000 acres of diverse terrain for every ability level- from wide, forgiving groomers to legendary steeps, bowls, and hike-to terrain. With over 300 days of sunshine each year and virtually no lift lines, the Telluride skiing experience is unmatched.

In 2008, the resort expanded into the spectacular Revelation Bowl, offering European-style, above-tree-line skiing with panoramic views and thrilling advanced terrain. Recent expansions have added nearly 400 acres of new skiing and riding, solidifying Telluride as one of the most breathtaking and well-rounded ski resorts on the continent.

Why We Love Telluride

Telluride stands out as one of the most unique ski destinations in North America. Its location in a box canyon creates dramatic scenery and a peaceful, uncrowded atmosphere. The ski terrain is exceptional- over 2,000 acres of diverse runs, consistent snowfall, and nearly 300 days of sunshine each year.

But what truly sets Telluride apart is the experience: the ability to ski directly into a historic downtown, the seamless connection to Mountain Village via a free gondola, and the blend of luxury lodging with laid-back Colorado charm. Whether you’re here for deep powder, family-friendly convenience, or a relaxing mountain escape, Telluride offers something special for every type of traveler.
