How far in advance should I purchase Telluride lift tickets?
Telluride lift tickets must be purchased a minimum of 4 days in advance of use.
What Telluride lift ticket season should I choose?
Telluride lift ticket prices are determined by your first day of skiing. Please select the season that matches your first ski day. Once issued, your lift ticket is valid for the number of days purchased within a 9-day window - even if your skiing dates cross into a different season.
Where do I pick up my lift tickets?
Your lift tickets will be held under each skier's name and birthdate at Telluride Resort Will-Call. Pick them up at any ticket window in Mountain Village or Telluride—whichever is most convenient. Bring a valid photo ID and your confirmation number. Full locations and hours are included in your confirmation email.
Are Telluride lift tickets refundable?
Telluride multi-day lift ticket purchases are 80% refundable when cancelled 24 hours or more prior to your product start date. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the start date are non-refundable, and no credits or partial refunds will be issued once this window has passed. Please note that Epic products follow Epic/Vail policies and are always non-refundable.
Is there a lift ticket tax in Telluride?
Yes. As of November 15, 2025, the Town of Mountain Village implemented a 5% lift ticket tax on single-day and multi-day Telluride lift tickets. Revenue from this tax funds gondola operations and capital improvements through the San Miguel Authority for Regional Transportation (SMART).

Epic Day Pass vs. Telluride Lift Tickets
If you're skiing Telluride for more than a day or two, an Epic Day Pass is the best deal on the mountain. A 4-Day Epic Day Pass with All Resort Access costs less than a 2-day Telluride lift ticket and saves you $533 per adult compared to a 4-day ticket.

Using Your Epic Pass at Telluride (2026/27 Season)
Telluride is an Epic partner resort, not a Vail-owned mountain, so the rules work a little differently here than at Vail or Breckenridge. Here's what you need to know before your trip.
No Reservations Required
Since the 2025/26 season, Telluride no longer requires Epic Pass reservations. If you have an eligible pass, your physical card, and days available, you can go straight to the lift.
Bring Your Physical Pass Card
The My Epic app and Mobile Pass don't work at Telluride. You'll need your physical Epic Pass card, and you must have signed your Vail Resorts Release of Liability. Keep the card in a zippered pocket on the left side, away from your phone and keys, and lift staff can scan it without you taking it out.
Forgot your card? You can have one printed at the Mountain Village ticket windows in Heritage Plaza, beneath the gondola. Bring a photo ID and proof of your pass, such as the My Epic app or your confirmation email. A $5 printing fee may apply.
Which Epic Passes Work at Telluride?
Telluride access is included with the Epic Pass, Epic Adaptive Pass, Epic Adaptive 5-Day Pass, and Epic 4–7 Day Passes with All Resort Access. The Epic Local, Epic 1–3 Day, Limited Access Day Passes, and Military Passes don't include Telluride.
How Epic Day Passes Count at Telluride
Days you ski at Telluride come out of your pass's total. For example, if you have a 4-Day Pass and ski three days at Breckenridge, you'll have one day left for Telluride.
Holding more than one Epic product doesn't add up to more Telluride days. Every pass holder is capped at 7 total days per season, so a 4-Day and a 6-Day Pass together still only get you 7 days here.
Skiing More Days After Yours Run Out
Once you've used your included days, you can buy discounted lift tickets at any Telluride ticket window: up to 50% off for Epic Pass and Epic Adaptive Pass holders, and up to 20% off for 4–7 Day Pass and Adaptive 5-Day Pass holders. There's no lodging requirement to get these discounts.
What Doesn't Work at Telluride
Epic Friend tickets, Ski-With-A-Friend tickets, Resort Charge, and Epic Mountain Rewards discounts can't be used at Telluride. If friends in your group don't have an eligible Epic Pass, they'll save the most by booking Telluride lift tickets in advance.

Telluride Ski Vacation
Telluride is one of the most historic ski towns in North America. It's an Old West mining town tucked into a box canyon, and it's where Butch Cassidy robbed his first bank. The town is small and walkable, with great restaurants, local shops, and lively bars all within a few blocks.
